From record -breaking wins to end his long wait at Grand Slam Glory, we look back on all Rory McIlroy’s five big titles so far …
2011 US Open

There should be no last round match this time for the then 22-year-old who smashed Tiger Woods’ tournament scoring record by ending the week of 16 under. An eight -shot victory over Jason Day remains – from 2025 – the largest winning margin in the history of the tournament.
2012 PGA Championship
Hype was increased after another record -breaking victory on Kiawah Island, which helped him return to the top of the world arrangement.
McIlroy had followed an opening round 67 with a three-over 75 under windy conditions on Friday to sit three strokes on a half-way lead, before a five under 67 during a weather-affecting third round pulled him three ahead.
Chasing Pack’s hopes faded the last day when McIlroy Fugled three of his first seven holes to expand his lead, before three more birdies in the last seven holes saw him close a fantastic eight-shot victory.
The winning margin was the largest in the history of the tournament – Breaking Jack Nicklaus’ record – and then McIlroy becomes the youngest player of two big wins since Woods, with the victory the other leg in his bid for Grand Slam Glory.
2014 the open
Historically, McIlroy has not always produced the fastest starter at Majors, although his bogey-free opening round in Royal Liverpool laid the basis for a thread-to-thread victory.
Another 66 in the second round gave McIlroy, now 25, a four-shot pillow that drove into the weekend, adding a third round 68-inclusive two eagles in his last three holes to take a six-shot lead into the last day.
Sergio Garcia accused the Leaderboard and closed shortly within two of McIlroy, who had slipped back to level pair for the day with a bogey on the 13th, while Ricke Fowler also produced a late birdie finish to become in violation.
McIlroy pulled by any potential final collapse and extended his lead with a birdie at the 16th, with a one-under 71 enough for a two-shot victory over Garcia and Fowler and to secure Claret Jug.
2014 PGA Championship
It was a summer to remember for McIlroy, who added a WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Title to his win at Open before securing his fourth great success with a narrow victory at Valhalla Golf Club.

McIlroy Birds on the 17th to take a two -shot lead over Mickelson to the last hole where a two -Putt pair -in almost darkness due to fading light -was enough to secure the Wanamaker trophy for the second time.
2025 Masters
It would take 11 years and a lot almost missing for McIlroy to add his great tally, a roller coaster last round and dramatic play-off that closes victory at Augusta National.
McIlroy Double-Bookyed Opening Hole on Sunday to immediately lose his two-shot 54-hole lead to Bryson DeChambeau and then took control of the tournament before dropping four shot-inclusive a double-bogey in par-five 13-in a four-hole stretch.
A remarkable approach shot in the trees created a two-putt birdie for McIlroy at the 15th and another birdie on the 17th gave him a one-shot buffer that drove against the 72th hole where he missed a five-foot putt to couple and slipped into an playoffs against Justin Rose.
McIlroy made changes to play-off by creating a close range of birdie-chance, which he converted to Spark Emotional Celebrations and just made him the sixth player to end men’s career grand slam.
Woods, Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Gary Player and Gene Sarazen are the others who have won all four majors in their careers, with McIlroy’s Masters victory, who meets his childhood dream and cement his place as one of Golf’s great times.
What next for McIlroy?
McIlroy’s Masters Victory put him in line with Seve Ballesteros’ big numbers and within one of Sir Nick Faldo’s records, with the victory as well, which made him the first European player to end his career Grand Slam.
