Microsoft and Nvidia elaborate on their collaboration to promote artificial intelligence and reveal new technologies designed to improve AI performance and scalability. Their latest efforts focus on integrating Nvidia’s groundbreaking Blackwell architecture with Microsoft Azure and expanding AI capacities to business and developers. From virtual machines with high performance to AI implementation tools, the partnership aims to accelerate innovation across industries and shape the future of Enterprise AI.
Integrating Nvidia Blackwell with Azure AI
“Our partnership with Azure and the introduction of the NVIDIA Blackwell platform represents a significant leap forward. NVIDIA GB200 NVL72, with its unique performance and connection options, tackles the most complex AI workload that allows companies to innovate faster and more securely,” Nvidia.
Microsoft recently announced the launch of Azure ND GB200 V6, a new Virtual Machine (VM) series that contains NVIDIA technology. The World Cup series includes Nvidia Quantum Infiniband Networking and NVIDIA GB200 NVL72, a fluid-cooled supercomputer meant specifically for AI workload with high performance AI.
The new World Cup series joins the current line of Microsoft VMs already using NVIDIA GPUs, specifically H100 and H200. Microsoft also plans to release a number of World Cup supported by Nvidia’s Blackwell Ultra GPUs, which is expected to launch later this year.
Adding Nvidia Nim to Azure Ai Foundry
Microsoft and Nvidia have contributed to the promotion of agent AI. As part of this effort, the two companies have introduced NVIDIA -Inference microservices or Nvidia NIM within Ai Foundry. Nvidia NIM consists of pre-packed, optimized containers designed to streamline the implementation of generative AI tools and AI agents.
Epic, a great player in electronic health registers, is already planning to use Nvidia Nim and Azure AI foundry to their full extent. The company aims to improve patient care, improve the effectiveness of the clinician and conduct AI-driven research into new medical breakthroughs and processes.
Microsoft and Nvidia are also working to optimize the performance of different language models for Azure AI Foundry. This includes the newly optimized Meta Llama models, which are now available to developers who are already using Ai Foundry.
Accelerates AI -Innovations everywhere
In addition to this development, Microsoft and Nvidia announced plans to help speed up AI -Innovations for other companies. The partners have added several recent additions to Azure Marketplace, including:
- Nvidia omniverse.
- Nvidia Isaac Sim Virtual Workstations.
- Omniverse Kit -App -streaming.
These additions that are primarily aimed at AI developers support the creation of robotic simulations, digital twins and other AI-driven applications.
