We believe that AI presents a significant opportunity to help meet Europe’s ambitious climate targets while increasing economic growth – but meeting this opportunity requires modernization of European energy systems, improving network security and reliability and strengthening industrial transformation. Innovative startups in the region use AI to speed up the energy transition and address energy security, decarbonization ,, and industrial competitiveness – and we will help.
Following the launch of our North America -coating earlier this year, we are pleased to announce that Google for Startup’s accelerator: AI for Energy in Europe & Israel is now open to applications. This 12-week equity-free program is designed to support startups using AI to speed up the energy transition scale quickly in collaboration with key players across the ecosystem.
Apply now – Applications are closing June 30, 2025
The program begins in September and runs through November and combines virtual sessions with personal opportunities to get in touch with co -founders, googles and energy sector experts.
The selected startups will receive intensive mentorship, technical project support, access to cutting-edge AI tools, Google Cloud infrastructure and Talent from Cross Google. The curriculum includes deep dive in AI/ML infrastructure, product design and UX, go-to-market strategies and leadership development-all tailor made for energy-focused startups.
We want to support startups that tackle some of the biggest challenges in Europe’s energy landscape:
- Software solutions for utilities, justifers and energy developers: Supports modernization, decarbonization of Europe’s energy infrastructure and the development of an elastic grid.
- Load flexibility and optimization: Activation of a more dynamic, efficient and elastic energy system that integrates variable carbon -free energy and smart lattice applications that contribute to system stability and affordable prices.
- Solutions for industrial customers including energy efficiency: To help European industries in their transition to climate neutrality and improved competitiveness through industrial energy efficiency solutions, carbon -conscious infrastructure and modeling of electricity.
Selected startups will work with experts from Google Energy and Sustainability teams from Google Cloud to access the best of Google Insights and Best Practice. In addition, the cohort will connect with an impressive group of program partners that offer crucial knowledge sharing and connections to the support of energy species. The complete list of partners can be found at the program site.
If your startup builds AI-driven solutions in the energy room, we encourage you to learn more and apply before June 30.
