Hannah Klugman’s fantastic race at the French Open eventually came when the British teenager was beaten by Lilli Tagger in the French Open Girls’ Singles Final.
Klugman became the first British player to move on to a junior final at Roland Garros at 49, but was beaten 6-2 6-0 by the impressive Austrian.
Klugman has won the LTA Junior National titler in the UK and reached the third qualifying round for Wimbledon last year at the age of 15 and is ready for a major breakthrough.
However, tags appeared excellent and were comfortably better than the 16-year-old Brit on the Paris Clay-wrapped victory in an emphatic way.
Last June, Klugman came headlines by winning two matches on Wimbledon Women’s qualification.
She has worked with long -time coach Ben Haran, as well as the famous strength and conditioning coach Jez Green and Physio Will Herbert.
Klugman seems to take advantage of her time practicing at Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca in March, where she received encouraging words from ‘King of Clay’.
“I had three days there, which was amazing, I’m so grateful that they gave me that opportunity at Rafa’s. I love Rafa,” Klugman said.
“He said to me once you have the level, things come, so trust the hard work, the process. If you have no results right now, continue to believe.”
