DeepCool in Hidden Browsing in the US?

Last June, DeepCool was banned in the US. Originally, the problem did not really lie directly with DeepCool, but rather with the parent company based in China, which would have continued to do business with a country subject to US sanctions for its involvement in the war in Ukraine, in the case of Russia. With the penalty imposed by the US authorities, the company and therefore all of its subsidiaries (whether based in the US or not) can no longer do business with US companies or operate in the country. In short, in principle, the products of DeepCool can no longer circulate to the US or be sold there. And yet…

Surprise, a YouTuber had recently noted that products strongly resembling references from DeepCool can still be found in the US on the Amazon or NewEgg marketplaces, just under a different name, halfway between “good” taste and the translation error: Shaking tank! So DeepCool AK620 became Shaking Tank AK620, DeepCool LS720, Shaking Tank LS720… You get the idea. However, anyone with a slightly observant eye will have quickly noticed that the DeepCool logo and the product’s original name have simply been blurred in the original images. The trick is more than obvious! But who is to blame?

An American DeepCool known by the parent company? An unscrupulous trader who bought DeepCool’s US stock at a discount and is now trying to liquidate it by any means possible? A retailer desperate to get rid of their DeepCool stock? The first option would certainly be highly illegal and would risk being severely suppressed, as would going through a shell company, which would inevitably be subject to the same sanctions. As for the other two, it’s hard to say. Perhaps assuming that the affected inventory was already in the US and owned by a local company, a liquidation could be defended. In any case, it seems rather unlikely that these masked products will remain for long. Some like the AK620 and LS720 even seem to have already disappeared, which ultimately leans in favor of the hypothesis of an explicit liquidation of the US stock of DeepCool references.
