Locking options along with Google Career Certificates

At Grow with Google, we started tackling a societal challenge: Expanding access to good jobs and promoting financial security for more people. That’s why we started offering practical paths to new jobs through the Google Career Certificate program seven years ago. This initiative now has a growing community of over one million candidates globally, including more than 350,000 in the US

Today, we are pleased to share our Google Career Certificate Impact report, which highlights the power in collaboration, the effectiveness of skill-based training and the ability to deliver influence in scale.

We celebrate success for our candidates – with over 70% of our American candidates reporting a positive career outcome (new job, promotion or raising) along with a powerful network of partners. This includes hundreds of educational institutions around the country that have integrated our certificates into their programs and thousands of companies using our AI courses to invest in their team’s growth. We also collaborate with 150+ companies in our growing with Google Employer Consortium, hiring Google Career Certificate Candidates or setting up their existing employees with our training program, including Siemens, T-Mobile, Wells Fargo and of course Google.

With us seeks an interest in re-enclosing and rewriting that hits a highest height this year, and “how to change jobs” that also hit all-time highs, giving roads to accessible, affordable and flexible skills training is more crucial than ever.

Take, for example, Chris, a 20-year-old Marine Corps veteran. He is among the 1 out of 10 candidates from our programs that are part of the military community – including officials, military spouses and veterans – who find new careers through our programs. His journey involved spending four years as a home-father before deciding to pursue a career in cyber security-other experience in the field. He signed up for the Google CyberSecurity Certificate via Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Family (IVMF). We are proud to collaborate with and support IVMF, an organization dedicated to helping service members and their families switch to new careers, with financing from Google.org.

After completing the certificate, Chris used his new knowledge to impress hiring leaders during a tough, technical-heavy interview and ultimately served the position of Intrusion Analyst Apprentice at a cyber security company he loves. “This is the job I want to continue to do forever,” he says. “I get up in the morning excited to work.”

As we look ahead, we continue to help Americans find their passions and access good jobs by ensuring that Google career certificates prepare people like Chris for the days today and tomorrow. In addition to field-specific AI training, each Google Career Certificate now includes an optional new course: accelerating your job search with AI. This course allows students to navigate their job search effectively and confident by guiding them to use AI to create a job search plan, elevator height, resume and more.
